[Colombia 2013] 27th of March – Barranquilla Airport
On the 27th of march, we had a « rendez-vous » at the airport of Barranquilla. We were supposed to teach to 100 kids invited to the airport premises. The children were coming from the surroundings of the airport and had never had the opportunity to see the airport from the inside.
The event has been kindly organized in collaboration with the Colombian civil aviation authority, ATAC and the airport management, despite the official bank holiday of “semana santa”. Actually, because of semana santa, the final details came the day before the event.
For us it was a difficult situation to manage. We had to re-organize our classes, because the group was too big to fit in the room at our disposal. This meant splitting the group in two and doing the course twice in a row.
While one group was listening to us, the airport teams would kindly take the other group for a tour around the airport.
Only the game at the end of the 4 hours could be done with the whole group.
In the end, all had a lot of fun.
